CD126 (IL-6Rα) Antibodies

The CD126 antigen is the human IL-6 receptor α chain. It is an integral membrane protein of 80 kDa. In peripheral blood it is detectable on monocytes, on activated B lymphocytes, and on CD4+ T lymphocytes. This antigen is also expressed by epithelial cells. The CD126 antigen associates with CD130 to form a high affinity IL-6 receptor. A soluble form of CD126 (sIL-6R) can be detected in plasma.

Clone: M91 Isotype: IgG1 Mouse

The M91 antibody recognizes the membrane and soluble form of IL-6Rα chain. It binds to the amino terminal immunoglobulin domain of IL-6Rα. It binds to IL-6/IL-6Rα complexes and IL-6/IL-6R/gp130 complexes. It is a nonblocking antibody suitable for Western blot assays.
