The T Cell Receptor (TCR) is a transmembrane protein found on the surface of T lymphocytes with protein CD3 complex that interacts with Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) presenting antigen. It consists in a heterodimer of two chains: α/β or γ/δ.
Each chain contains a variable (V) region and a constant (C) region with two possible polymorphisms for the constant region: C1 and C2.
