Anti-TCR Cß1 (TRBC1)-SNv428, JOVI.1, 50 tests, CE

The T Cell Receptor (TCR) is a transmembrane protein found on the surface of T lymphocytes with the protein CD3 complex that interacts with Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) presenting antigen. It consists of a heterodimer of two chains: α/β or γ/δ. Each chain contains a variable (V) region and a constant (C) region with two possible polymorphisms for the constant region: C1 and C2. JOVI.1 clone recognizes the Cβ1 polymorphism on the constant region of the β chain (also known as TRBC1 or TCR Cβ1).
