Vβ5 is a multimembered subfamily of the T cell receptor. Vβ5.3 is expressed by 1% to 1.8% (mean 1.4%) of peripheral CD3+ cells in normal blood. This sequence is also referred to as TRBV5-5 (based on the IMGT gene nomenclature).
