Automating the Valita Titer Assay

Automation in Action
In this application note, we present the Valita Titer assay combined with a Biomek i7 liquid handling system and a BioTek Cytation 1 Cell Imaging Multimode Reader
This specific integration enabled a high-throughput quantification of 480 samples in less than 50 minutes, while increasing walkaway time for the analyst.
Two other experiments were performed as part of this work to:
- Demonstrate the ability of this workflow to accurately quantitate IgG in the presence of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells
- Demonstrate a 50% time reduction when comparing a manual vs. automated workflow for the Valita Titer assay. While keeping accuracy and precision on a consistent level between both approaches.
