Are there impacts to periodic 14644-1 classification and re-classification?

Yes. Testing tables detailing reclassification frequency (2000 edition of the standard) have been removed. The updated standard mandates that periodic classification/re-classification be done annually. Frequency can be extended based on a risk assessment including a record of consistently compliant data (as per the monitoring plan). Reclassification and a review of the monitoring plan is required following installation or system operation changes.
Supporting tests that may influence the environment, monitoring systems or end-point results should be considered when defining the monitoring plan.
