Ti-15 Zonal Rotor without Core, Titanium

Product No:369622

Ti-15 Zonal Rotor and Lid, Titanium, without Core.

Max RPM 32,000. Max RCF, 102,000 or 96,500 x g,  k-Factor 481 or 468 Nominal Rotor Capacity: 1,675 or 1,350 mL

When density gradient separation is performed in a zonal rotor, gradient and sample are loaded directly into the rotor cavity; no tubes or bottles are used (see below). Cylindrical or bowl-shaped zonal rotors have a capacity 50 to 100 times that of the typical swinging bucket rotor; thus zonal centrifugation enables large quantities of sample to be processed in much less time than in other types of rotors.

Major applications: Rate-zonal centrifugation of subcellular particles.

For use in instruments classified: HS.

Note: A continuous-output gradient pump able to operate against a backpressure of 20 psi (138 kPa) is also required. The purchased pump must be able to provide a flow of up to 50 mL/min. (3 L/hr.) and the pump head must accept 1/8 in. (3 mm) ID tubing.
